Its bright aromas of white and yellow peach, dried flowers and nectarines overlie creamy nuances of vanilla oak and a whiff of ginger. Its smooth, fluffy presence of pristine, translucent flavour is backed by a fine dustiness and tightly integrated oak, extending towards a fresh, savoury and faintly meaty finish.

Cassegrain
Cassegrain has steadily expanded from its original base around Port Macquarie to become an active participant in a number of cooler New South Wales regions, from which it regularly changes the fruit sources of some of its wines, including those featured here. There's a complex and sophisticated, savoury stamp about these wines that stands them apart from the Australian mainstream. Cassegrain's reds tend to lack genuine conviction and ripeness.
