A youthful, primary pinot likely to develop poise and expression. Musky and deeply floral, its translucently bright aromas of redcurrant, red cherries, cola and sweet cedary oak are backed by nuances of spice, dried herbs, cola and cedary oak. ItÕs long and pristine, with a bright core of small red berry/cherry fruit that becomes darker and more intense towards the finish. Underpinned by fine, loose-knit and slinky tannins, it finishes with fine length, focus and balance.

Giant Steps
Phil Sexton, an experienced operator in the wine, brewing and hospitality industries, has set up camp in a very major way at Healesville in the Yarra Valley, with the spectacular Innocent Bystander winery and hospitality centre, home to the Giants Creek range. Sourcing from several different vineyards whose wines are vinified and sold separately, the brand continues to fashion chardonnay and pinot noir of ever-increasing style and elegance. The steady improvement of the Sexton Vineyard and Tarraford Chardonnays over recent years is reflected by their elevated ratings.
