Millbrook
Millbrook is an ambitious project in the Perth Hills owned by Peter Fogarty, also the owner of Deep Woods in Margaret River and LakeŐs Folly in the Hunter Valley. Millbrook's speciality is with table wine involving the viognier variety, even to the extent of bottling three separate levels of this white grape. Of these my preference heads towards the fresher, less oaky and considerably more fragrant 'standard' Viognier, a style to which I believe the vineyard's fruit is better suited. From Margaret River, the Sauvignon Blanc is reliably pristine and varietal.
