Innocent Bystander
Phil Sexton inspired a raft of imitators when he launched the instantly successful Innocent Bystander label of affordable and convincing Yarra Valley wines, which now includes a collection of approachable, flavoursome, early drinking wines that marry attitude with regional identity. For less than $20 you can discover cool-climate elegance and finesse, fashioned in a savoury, more European style. The 2014 Chardonnay is a standout. The brand was recently purchased by Brown Brothers.
