Lindemans Hunter Valley
One of the historic labels of Australian wine that was sacrificed in recent years for cooler climate brands in what is now the Treasury Wine Estates portfolio, Lindemans Hunter Valley (which used to be called Hunter River) is slowly re-emerging. Very slowly. While the first wine back in this guide is a Chardonnay, I am keen to see the classic labels of Semillon and Shiraz return to their historic standards. Let's hope that Lindemans, which has been responsible for many of the Hunter's greatest wines, does not entirely miss out on its resurgence.
