Bloodwood
The pioneers of the Orange region, the Doyles planted their first vineyard in 1983, to merlot. The site, which is meticulously managed, now covers eight hectares planted to a wide range of varieties. The Riesling can develop delightful textural, funky and mineral qualities, while the occasionally sumptuous Schubert Chardonnay can also reveal a similarly wild and meaty complexity, with a pleasing minerality.
