Heady, spicy and floral, its meaty, rather funky bouquet of peach, melon and creamy, nutty complexity precedes a soft, luscious palate whose smooth, juicy expression of yellow peach, lime and apricot overlies a fine powdery grip and culminates in a mouthwatering acidity. It rolls long and savoury down the palate, finishing with meaty richness and a finely balanced acidity that keeps it tidily in shape.

Paradise IV
Paradise IV is one of the most sought-after labels in Victorian wine. It sits at the cutting edge of where cool climate Victoria is destined to head -Ę towards distinctive and unique expressions of special terroirs using a carefully chosen marriage of site, variety and philosophy. The Chardonnay is by some margin the finest from the Geelong region while the elegant, medium-weight and savoury Dardel Shiraz is a wine of international stature and greatness. Sadly -Ę to put it mildly -Ę its owners ripped up the vineyard prior to the 2019 harvest. Fortunately, for the immediate future at least, the spectacular 2017 vintage is in barrel and the 2018 wines are happily brooding in oak.
