Winery

Tahbilk
Tahbilk is an historic vineyard and winery on the banks of the Goulburn River in central Victoria. The winery is blessed with large old cellars replete with very large old cooperage, which Alister Purbrick feels is essential to the make-up and identity of Tahbilk red wine. So to some extent Tahbilk is a museum piece -Ę to visit and to taste -Ę but this simply lends individuality and character. The estate is home to some significant old vineyards responsible for such regional classics as the 1860s Vines Shiraz and the 1927 Vines Marsanne, each of which can produce vintages of rare quality and longevity.
