Wine Appreciation Game

Dave Coutts, a Canadian advertising and marketing manager who felt let down by several wine appreciation seminars, has invented WineLovers Challenge, billed as the world’s first wine appreciation game. It’s not; Len Evans did this with his Wine Options Game around 15 years ago. However this sounds like an interesting educational concept that encourages participants to assess wines for themselves. It also covers wine tastes, grape varieties, wine regions, wine events around the world, wine’s effects on health and even wine quotes from popular songs, movies and literature. Anywhere between 2 and 12 can play the game, which apparently lasts between an hour to 90 minutes. Cost is around $40 Canadian, and orders can be placed at www.wineloverschallenge.com.
