Willow Creek Tulum Pinot Noir 2006

Rather under and over-ripened, with meaty, currant-like and herbal influences beneath its cherry and berry fruit qualities. There’s a smallgoodsy aspect, with some spicy nuances. It’s moderately rich and flavoursome, but finishes with an edgy expression of greenish acids and sappy tannins. (Mornington Peninsula, $ 15.0/82, drink 2008-2011)
