[question] Question submitted by John Murphy, Canada. Is the vintage date on Wolf Blass Platinum Shiraz different for the domestic and international market? I ask this because I came across a bottle of 2001 that was a cork top yet your tasting note state that it has a screw top. I know the 2002 vintage has a screw top here in Canada. So is the 2001 vintage (97 points) actually the 2002 vintage in Canada? [/question] [answer] Whatever the year on the label, that’s the year of the wine. Especially in this case! The 2001 vintage was bottled under cork and screw top, and different seals were sent to different markets, depending on the readiness of the market in question to accept screw tops. I think that recent bottlings have headed towards 100% screwcap, so there should be no more confusion in future! [/answer]
