Jeremy introduces and explains the riesling variety, then tastes Petaluma’s 2014 vintage from the Clare Valley. Riesling, while it has struggled for recognition in a white wine market that has been dominated by sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and pinot gris/grigio, remains one of the world’s classic white varieties. It does particularly well in Australia’s cooler wine regions.
