With a few words from Dr Max Lake and the passion for sex displayed by the average Thai male, Melbourne-based wine producer Neil Prentice reckons he’s saved the lives of at least a few tigers. ‘We translated a chapter of Max’s book Scents & Sensuality about the aphrodisiac properties of white wine and our sales of white wine in Thailand have rocketed’, he says. ‘If the Australian Wine Export Council was really serious about selling wine to the Thais, they’d send Max over there on tour’ he suggests.
