Theft of Seppelt 100 Year Old Para Liqueur Vintage Tawny Port

On the night of Monday May 7th thieves with a sense of history and taste unlawfully removed almost $17,000 worth of 100 Year Old Seppelt Para Liqueur Vintage Tawny Port from Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley. Given the not inexpensive asking rate for the said port, the theft amounted to a mere 16 bottles. What makes them unique is that they comprised sixteen consecutive vintages from 1878 to 1893. However their uniqueness may yet be the thieves’ undoing, since the individually numbered bottles are each identified as the 10th from their respective vintages. Neither do these stolen bottles have their authenticity certificates attached. So, if an anonymous wine fiend offers to sell you one of these old, rare but thoroughly traceable bottles, contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
