Jeremy is one of Australia’s most prolific and respected wine writers. He began his career in 1984 with the release of Thirst for Knowledge, in doing so becoming the world’s youngest published author on wine. Today, fifteen years, nine books, hundreds of articles and thousands of wines later, he is uniquely placed to share his knowledge of Australian wine and enthusiasm for it. Qualified with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and having studied winemaking at Roseworthy College, Jeremy Oliver is able to draw from his technical and tasting expertise when evaluating wine. He contributes to a number of magazine and journals and began to publish his own best-selling guide, The OnWine Australian Wine Annual for the first time in 1997. A popular speaker and wine presenter in public and on radio, Jeremy Oliver is a popular host and master of ceremonies at corporate functions and seminars, not to mention a polished performer at wine related events and occasions. He is known for the enthusiasm of his writing and for the research and frankness of his opinions. He lives in Melbourne, Australia, with his wife Jennifer and son Benjamin.
