  • Chateau Teyssier Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2019
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
    $70.00

A classic Old World blend – in this case from merlot and cabernet franc. Its earthy, faintly leathery fragrance of dark cherries, redcurrants, blueberries and dark plums reveals cedary oak and a whiff of dried herbs. Supported by a fine but kernelly backbone, it’s long and elegant, with a charming depth of dark, luscious fruits, cigarbox and chocolatey oak. The longer it breathes, the more textural, chewy and savoury it becomes, but there’s never ever any shortage of fruit. Watch it evolve.

  • Clarnette Grenache 2022
    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
    $39.00

Scented with musky spices, rose petals, dark cherries and whiff of blueberry, it’s smooth, supple and gentle, with a powdery spine of loose-knit tannins that will build more firmness with time. Gentle, unctuous, easy-paced and packed with perfectly ripened fruit, it finishes quite savoury in a southern Rhone-ish style, with a lingering core of flavour, mouthwatering acids and a suggestion of red licorice. Recently opened, it was at its best of Day 3, which gives you some idea of its quality, balance and ageability. A totally unexpected pleasure.

  • Clarnette Viognier 2022
    Jeremy’s score 90/100

    $36.00

A spicy scent of white peach, apricot and tangerine lifted by musky, floral aromas precede a long and very restrained palate whose shape and restraint present an appealing alternative to the more oily and coarse expression of many viogniers. It’s savoury, dry and lively – a positive match for many sweet and spicy Asian dishes.

Simply delicious, this beautifully balanced, creamy and layered chenin blanc reveals a faintly smoky and waxy bouquet of green melon, white peach and creamy, nutty, nougat-like undertones. It’s luscious but far from heavy – delivering a creamy, nutty core of white peach, melon and apple that extends long and generous down a fine chalkiness towards a mouthwatering finish of soft, measured acidity.

  • Corymbia Rocket’s Vineyard Tempranillo Malbec 2022
    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
    $42.00

I love what Rob Mann does to craft this exceptional wine from his family’s mature Swan Valley site. Wild, briary and floral, laced with black and blue berries, redcurrants, dark chocolates and blood plums, it reveals a hint of dried herbs. Fullish to medium in weight, its wonderful length of juicy, vivacious black and blue fruits is framed by a firmish, drying extract, finishing long, mineral and savoury with a lingering note of licorice. Since its inception, this label has totally reset the bar for Swan Valley red wine.
