Langmeil
Langmeil is coming of age as a winemaker for two main reasons -Ę it has refined a house style based around a juicy, very ripe but pristine presentation of fruit that is open and ready to enjoy from time of release, despite some fairly elevated levels of alcohol. Recent releases confirm Langmeil's ability to reproduce this style year after year, through some pretty torrid changes in seasonal conditions including the challenging 2011 vintage. Furthermore, as their improved star ratings how, Langmeil's wines are improving as they focus more around genuine ripeness and deliver better balance as a result. Langmeil also boasts a wine from the world's oldest surviving commercial shiraz vineyard -Ę The Freedom -Ę of which the excellent 2012 release is the finest since the 2004 vintage.
