Its very ripe, plush aromas of plums, blackberries, cassis and floral highlight are backed by very slightly smoky cedar/vanilla oak. Plump, juicy and forward, its generous palate is supported by a very firm and drying extract, before finishing just a little out of shape, with a suggestion of rawness.

Giant Steps
Phil Sexton, an experienced operator in the wine, brewing and hospitality industries, has set up camp in a very major way at Healesville in the Yarra Valley, with the spectacular Innocent Bystander winery and hospitality centre, home to the Giants Creek range. Sourcing from several different vineyards whose wines are vinified and sold separately, the brand continues to fashion chardonnay and pinot noir of ever-increasing style and elegance. The steady improvement of the Sexton Vineyard and Tarraford Chardonnays over recent years is reflected by their elevated ratings.
