Not much in the way of responses to the last and quite possibly rather cryptic quiz. I say ‘cryptic’ with some confidence, because we have received an email from Orlando, and they don’t even know the name of the riesling made by another Australian producer whose name is perhaps rather similar to one of their own. So it is likely indeed that even Orlando has not heard that Hamilton Ewell wines has now released two vintages of its Eden Valley ‘Stonegarden Riesling’. I am sure that any passing resemblance of this name to Orlando’s own famous ‘Steingarten Riesling’ is purely coincidental. Congratulations to Peter Doecke, the sleuth who picked this out from the clues available. A bottle of Steingarten (the original one) is on its way! Not to mention a call from Orlando’s human resource department?
