Pungent, lightly toasty aromas of lime juice and lemon rind overlie mineral nuances of bathpowder. ItÕs rather broad and rich, with an initially rather generous weight of confectionery and syrupy fruit that becomes more attenuated, finishing dry and austere with lemony acids. Lacks intensity and length.
Fresh and pristine, with a faintly candied but floral perfumed of lime juice, bathpowder, lemon rind and minerals and a long, juicy and brightly flavoured palate underpinned by fine dusty chalkiness whose tangy flavours of lime, lemon, apple and pear are streamlined towards a shapely and sculpted finish punctuated by taut but quite gentle acids.
Delicate, fine and forward, with a simple, slightly candied and floral bouquet of citrusy fruit, this a gentle, early-maturing riesling has a pretty presence of upfront flavour that lacks genuine length and staying power down the palate but finishes clean and dry.
Very forward, with an estery, confectionary and bathpowdery bouquet of intense lime juice, lemon drops and white flowers. It’s round, juicy and mouthfilling, with a very generous, ripe and juicy presence of fruit overlying a fine chalkiness, but falls slightly short of a typical riesling length. ItÕs perhaps best to enjoy while fresh and bright.
Pungent, raw and oaky, with powerful presence of mocha, chocolate and smoked oyster-like American oak that tends to overshadow its rather baked and lacklustre flavours of blackberries and plums. Smooth and creamy, itÕs assertive and quite polished but lacks a genuine depth of vibrant fruit.
Quite baked, with a spicy, peppery expression of dark berry and plum flavours given sweetness and depth courtesy of some charry, mocha oak. Supported by fine, bony tannins, itÕs quite meaty and faintly briary, with some iodide-like undertones. It should flesh out a little over the shorter term.
