Stefano Lubiana Estate Chardonnay 2022

$75.00

A stylish, sumptuous and measured chardonnay whose smoky fragrance of yellow peach, citrus, buttery vanilla oak, popcorn and gentle spice reveals some creamy yeast-derived complexity. Its vivacious, brightly lit core of grapefruit and stonefruit extends smooth and creamy towards a refreshing finish of lemony acidity. Artfully balanced.

Winery

Stefano Lubiana
Stefano Lubiana is a small and highly committed producer of cool-climate Tasmanian wine, and the estateŐs efforts are becoming better and more consistent from vintage to vintage. It has a hierarchy of different pinot noirs from Sasso to Primavera each with characteristic intensity and complexity. Its two creamy, elegant and rather sumptuous sparkling wines are amongst the finest made in this country, many of which are also now Tasmanian. The most distinctive of the current releases is a taut, mineral and briny 2014 Riesling.
