Mitchelton Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

$26.00

A measured and well-balanced cabernet whose cigarboxy aromas of cassis, cedar, dark chocolate and dried herbs precedes a long, polished palate of medium to full body. Full in flavour, with genuine structure and poise, it should age well.

Winery

Since buying the property and brand in 2011, the Ryan family has developed Mitchelton into one of the signature destinations in Australian wine, featuring a brilliantly appointed boutique hotel and day spa. The property also hosts The Muse restaurant and the Mitchelton Gallery of Aboriginal Art (Australia's largest) and its remarkable contemporary collection. Currently undergoing a major renovation in its extensive vineyard, Mitchelton is steadily moving towards a focus on white and red varieties from the Rhone Valley in France - such as shiraz, grenache, mourvedre, marsanne and roussanne - all the while retaining and developing what is perhaps its most consistent wine over the decades, the Blackwood Park Riesling.
