Forty Paces
Forty Paces is a minute but potentially significant producer of cool-climate pinot noir. Its early vintages reflect the usual journey of maturing vines, increased experience and expertise in the cellar, plus the dramatic seasonal variations experienced in Victoria over the last few years. It earns its place here because while it wines have yet to hit the highlights I expect they will, they reflect a commitment and attention to detail that thoroughly deserves attention.
