3 Drops Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Rather greenish, exaggerated and one-dimensional aromas of passionfruit, mango and lychees with faintly sweaty, snow-pea like undertones precede a bright and juicy palate that begins with intensity but lacks great length of fruit. It falls a little short and raw-edged, finishing without genuine focus.

3 Drops
Led by its long-living, taut and steely Riesling, 3 Drops is an established small player at Mount Barker. Its 15 ha vineyard is adjacent to the company's olive grove, and each are watered as needed by the large wetlands located on the property. The 3 drops, being water, wine and olive oil, hold a special place at this family-owned estate. The vineyard is not open to the public. The 2016 Riesling shows typical leanness and focus in its youth.
