[/question] [answer] Very interesting question! A recent re-tasting of this indeed hitherto un-released wine has led me to reconsider my initial impressions. Both times I tasted the wine as a pre-release with Penfolds chief winemaker Peter Gago. On the second occasion, the wine had settled down considerably into a deliciously old-fashioned expression of Australian ‘burgundy’. It’s a fine traditional wine from a hot vintage. Without giving too much away, I rate this at 18.6/95, drink 2017-2025. I will be shortly posting my notes and ratings of all the Penfolds premium releases. [/answer]
