A number of Australians are currently pursuing the English wine trade qualification of Master Of Wine but only one, Martin Williams, made the grade in 1999. A winemaker by profession, like several recent Australasian MWs before him, Martin Williams is a consultant winemaker to several small developments including Yarra Valley Hills and his family’s vineyard, Tarraford in the Yarra Valley. He becomes the 11th MW in Australia.
