Having changed its name to the Hamilton Wine Group, Richard Hamilton Wines has commenced a formal association with Rhone Valley producer, the Chapoutier Group. In exchange for establishing cuttings from Hamiltons’ 100 year-old vines in the northern Rhone, 5,000 cuttings from the acclaimed Pavillon vineyard in Hermitage will be planted by both Hamiltons and Chapoutier in separate McLaren Vale developments. Made by Hamilton Wines, a new shiraz labelled as Chapoutier Australia will be sold in European markets.
