New Cellar Doors Open

Xanadu, Grant Burge and Shaw & Smith have each opened interesting new cellar door developments. Open from 10 am to 5 pm, seven days a week, the Margaret River-based Xanadu has launched its impressive looking cellar door and cafe-style restaurant. Grant Burge’s Barossa Vines brand has opened its new cellar door at the very same old Krondorf winery that Burge himself sold to Mildara Blass in 1986, before buying it back again in 1999. It has since become the centre of Grant Burge’s white wine production. As well as wine tasting, the facility offers casual cafe dining. Another cellar door decked out with a commercial kitchen, Michael Hill Smith and Martin Shaw’s new Adelaide Hills winery provides an option for visitors to undertake a tutored wine tasting of four wines and a cheese platter, at prices starting from just $6.
