An increase in revenue of 47% to A$107 million has helped McGuigan Simeon increase half-year profits by 35% to A$9.3 million. While its domestic sales rose by a mere 7%, the company has increased its exports of bottled wines by 110% and bulk wines by 82%. Recent publicity concerning the integrity of wine show samples might be responsible for some resistance in the domestic trade.
