Massive Palandri venture ready for 2000 Vintage

The $52 million Palandri project on the Bussell Highway in Margaret River has completed its $8 million 1,500 tonne capacity winery in time for the 2000 vintage, in which at least 1,000 tonnes will be processed, largely from contracted suppliers. The project also includes a 150 ha vineyard in the Frankland River area of the state. Already one of WA’s largest wineries, its chief winemaker is Tony Carapetis, formerly of Chateau Tahbilk.
