A trim, focused and faintly saline chardonnay whose delicate bouquet of guava, ruby grapefruit, yellow peach and matchstick oak reveals nuances of creamy yeast and yellow flowers. Intense and penetrative, with some fleshiness and concentration that eases down the palate, it extends over a fine powdery mouthfeel, becoming taut and shapely as it finishes with persistence, a little briny austerity and a brittle, lemony acidity.

Xanadu
Xanadu is the Margaret River branch of the Rathbone Wine Group. It's a consistent maker of plush, sumptuously fruited, artfully composed, elegant and approachable table wines from the typical suite of regional varieties and blends. While the white wines have been most consistent over recent years, the Cabernet Sauvignon is now cementing a generous, polished style while the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 (95/100, drink 2023-2031+) is deeply flavoured, beautifully structured and seamless. As a group, these wines deserve a larger following.
