Everyone, it seems is keen to ride the bandwagon of the popularity of Australian wines in the US, including singer Olivia Newton-John. Koala Blue Wines, in which Newton-John is a partner, is involved in a three-way deal between Snowdon Wines Pty Ltd and US wine importer Distillerie Stock USA that will see 400,000 cases of Koala Blue wines imported into the US. The Koala Blue range presently comprises a Shiraz and a Chardonnay, which will retain for around US$9 per bottle. ‘The taste of Koala Blue Wines is exactly what our consumers want’, says Distillerie Stocks’ David Morel.
