International Wine Investment Fund alters Focus

Its A$7.8m investment in Vintage Nurseries, the US’ second largest supplier of grapevine rootstock, opens the door for the Australian group, the International Wine Investment Fund, to diversify into other viticultural businesses in different continents. Having identified that wine suppliers offer yields between 4-7% higher than branded wine companies, the Fund is seeking to reduce is exposure to BRL Hardy from present levels of 80% of its A$265m portfolio to 66.5% by June this year. It also aims to increase its asset base to A$500m within three years.
