Cranswick Estate has entered into a joint venture with Chateau Indage, a subsidiary of the Indage Group, one of Mumbai’s major public companies, which controls 70% of the presently tiny Indian wine market. Cranswick will be the sole Australian supplier to Indage and in turn distribute its wines into the Australian market. Cranswick will initially ship 50,000 litres of Shiraz and Semillon Chardonnay for bottling in India under a joint label. One of Cranwick’s senior managers would supervise the bottling at Chateau Indage’s new bottling line.
