Complaining that the cork industry ‘shows little interest in finding a solution’ to cork taint, Victoria’s Hanging Rock Winery has moved to an alternative Australian seal called Integra, a seal preferred by UK supermarket customers and which ‘passes the time test until at least the medium term’. These new seals, each of which is brightly coloured, will be used for all Hanging Rock short and medium term wines. Interestingly, Hanging Rock continues to use corks for its more expensive long-term wines.
