A rather raw and hard-edged blend of these two varieties whose grassy green melon and gooseberry fruit is backed by undertones of green beans and capsicum. There’s some generous flavour, but the phenolic extract is just too dominant and likely to tend to fatness and hardness with time. (Margaret River, $19 retail, approx., 15.2/83, drink 2006-2007+)
