Led by a 3.3% increase in sales of table wine, domestic Australian wine sales for the year ending November 2002 have increased by 2.8% overall. Fortified wines dropped by a mirror of the same amount, 3.3%, while sparkling wines showed good growth at 4.9%. Cask wine consumption increased by 2.8% and now represents 53.8% of all sales of Australian table wine. The market for imported wine increased by an extraordinary 26% to reach $130 million.
