Its 1999 Lloyd Reserve Shiraz has knocked over all local competition to anoint Coriole’s winemaker Grant Harrison as McLaren Vale’s Bushing King for 2001, the third time Coriole has collected this award. 1999 was Harrison’s first year at Coriole, and the first chance he’d had to get to work on the 82 year-old patch of vines that constitutes the heart and soul of Lloyd Reserve. Modestly he said: ‘I’d like to thank the vineyard’.
