BRL Hardy is making hay of Southcorp’s present difficulties by renewing its forecast of a 15% increase in profit for this financial year. On top of that, chief executive Stephen Millar reckons 2004 will be a ‘boomer’. Conceding that 2002 had been ‘the toughest year the Australian wine industry had faced’, Millar sounds bullish about the future. He also says the Constellation take-over is almost complete.
