BRL Hardy managing director Stephen Millar has indicated that BRL would willingly consider participation in a multinational wine company should the opportunity present itself. At its annual general meeting held on the 4th of May, Millar said that to become a multinational wine company over the next ten years, BRL Hardy would need to establish a US-based winemaking facility for both the US and export markets. BRL Hardy expects to improve on its 1999 net profit of $48.6 million.
