BRL Hardy Ltd has strengthened its hand in the McLaren Vale with the acquisition of the 32 hectare Yeenunga vineyard, predominantly planted to premium red varieties. It has been the source of much of the company’s premium McLaren Vale fruit in recent years, including the Eileen Hardy Shiraz 1995. The company has also announced a A$3.8 million expansion of its Leasingham winery in Clare, involving a new vintage cellar, tank press and increased storage.
