Barossa Goes Slow Food

The Paris-based Slow Food movement is shortly to take up camp in the Barossa. Given that the Barossa is Australia’s only wine region with a genuine food culture of its own invention, it’s indeed appropriate that it becomes the home of Barossa Slow, a weekend of appropriately easy-paced wine and food events. Amongst other things, there’s a Farmers Market, a selection of Barossa gastronomic Journeys, a Yalumba Museum Tasting and a Celebration Dinner in Yalumba’s Cooperage. Websites worth checking in at are www.slowfood.southaustralia.com and www.barossa-region.org. Barossa Slow will take place between April 2 and 4.
