Asia’s Affair With Wine #2

France has repositioned itself in Hong Kong to increase its share of this market from 40.9% to 52.7% in this calendar year, taking around 30% of Australia’s share of the Hong Kong market and significant portions of the markets held by other exporting nations in the process. In the period 1988 to 1995 wine increased its market share in Hong Kong from 40.1% to 55.7%. Brandy consumption has declined from 41.5% to 22.9%, while whisky consumption has reduced from 9.5% to 7.8%.
