De Bortoli is the first significant Australian winery to take advantage of the Federal Government’s $100 million Low Carbon Australia fund. Now chaired by former SA Premier Mike Rann, it has assisted De Bortoli to update and upgrade its energy generation with solar and photovoltaic systems, which the company says has reduced its electricity costs sufficiently to improve profits by 10%.
