Zema Estate will be host its third annual tasting and discussion on cabernet sauvignon on Saturday August 8 2009. I will be leading the event with one of Australia’s leading makers of cabernet, Zema Estate Winemaker Greg Clayfield. Together we have selected 20 great cabernet sauvignons from four of the world leading cabernet producing regions. This tasting offers a brilliant opportunity to experience the true grace and style of cabernet sauvignon and its blends with related varieties as they express different nuances of taste and character around the globe. This year five of the leading cabernets from the iconic Australian region of Coonawarra are being contrasted with a similar number from Margaux, Hawkes Bay and the Maipo region of Chile. So you can learn more about the qualities and complexities of the cabernet family at the same time as experiencing five top wines from four internationally renowned cabernet regions in a relaxed and educational setting. Wine lovers, grape growers, winemakers and commentators are all invited to participate.
