Halliday reduces Southcorp Load

Wine writer and founder of Coldstream Hills, James Halliday, has shed a large proportion of his Southcorp commitments to focus on the development of Winepros, the Internet wine site he part owns and operates with Len Evans and a large group of corporate investors including Coles Myer and HarperCollins. Halliday, whose role at Southcorp in recent years has extended far beyond his immediate responsibilities at Coldstream Hills and becoming Group Regional Winemaker to the company, had also become directly responsible for the brands of Devil’s Lair and Lindemans Hunter Valley. However Halliday has chosen not to sever completely his ties with Southcorp, Australia’s largest wine producer, and remains a consultant to the company, focusing on the Coldstream Hills brand. He will continue to live at his Coldstream Hills home, atop one of the better wine cellars in this country.
