Feds do something to help wine

The Federal Government has committed $4.5 million of its $3 billion ‘Backing Australia’s Abilities Program’ to help develop the intriguingly named ‘National Wine Research Cluster’ which will fund building expansions and purchase state of the art production and research equipment. The South Australian Government will contribute a further $700,000, while the partners in the project, The Australian Wine Research Institute, CSIRO, The South Australian Research and Development Institute, The University of Adelaide, the Grape and Wine R & D Corporation and Charles Sturt University will provide an additional $2.5 million.
