Grangeomania #1

Another scare for those who believe wine is made to be drunk. Swiss banks are now comparing their performance to the appreciation of red wine. The 1990 Penfolds Grange is the first bottle in a series of twelve of the world’s rarest and best red wines in a full-page advertisement for the Union Bank of Switzerland placed in the American magazine, Business Weekly. Also featured are Guigal’s La Landonne 1991, DRC’s Richebourg 1990, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1986 and Chateau Latour 1982. It would appear that the opening of a bottle of 1990 Grange (now selling for around $500) should now be accompanied by a press release!
