Grampians winemaker Montara offers a first prize of five dozen of its wines for the best self-supporting scarecrow entered to the winery at Chalambar Rd, Ararat, Victoria, by April 19. The scarecrows will then do their bit on display in the Montara winery for two weeks before winners are announced at a Gourmet Sausage Sizzle at the winery on Sunday, 4th May. The judge is the director of the Ararat Art Gallery. His name? Graeme Bird.
