The book also includes pithy, interesting thoughts by Caillard on the leading combinations of variety and region in this country, our 250 leading wines and a glossary of his tasting notes on leading wines, delivered in typically extravagant style. While Caillard’s copy constantly moves from subject to subject and in doing so can be rather repetitive, it certainly ranks as one of the more original, forthright and lively reads of the year. The book sells for $24.95 and is simply a must for any serious wine investor.
